Traveling back 5,000 years, we drew inspiration from majestic statues, carved stone tablets, dazzling gold treasures, and mysterious mummy coffins. Moving with angular shapes, we felt as though we were stepping right out of flat ancient Egyptian murals and into a three-dimensional world, just like sleeping statues awakening to life.
In this beautiful journey across different civilisations, we used our body language as a special tribute, playfully 'cooking' a hearty breakfast for the Pharaoh. Together with fellow dancers, we created short routines, imagining and acting out the daily lives of ancient Egyptians—sometimes feasting joyfully, other times holding our breath to hunt. Step by step, everyone opened up their senses, practising coordination through fast and slow, light and heavy movements, all while sharing wonderful laughter and joy with one another.
